The Silver Fox series of works are created from one old bicycle frame, (once ridden by the artist). It was first exhibited at a solo show in London, May 2016. All of the content, except for the coatings on some works, is salvaged or recycled material, including the custom-made plinths. The hand-made steel sculptures are finished in a variety of coatings including 24 carat gold, powder and acrylic spray paint. The works hover between abstraction and representation, allowing for individual reflection. With a sense of vulnerability and balance, inspired by concerns over environmental and excessive consumption, the sculptures hold their own through a celebration of the prosaic, materiality and exuberance. The series consists of 6 works which can be seen in more detail on the following pages: Silver Fox i; Silver Fox ii; Silver Fox ii; Silver Fox iv; Silver Fox v; Silver Fox vi;
