CMYK ii. Acrylic on canvas, wood. 47 x 3.8cm. Similar to CMYK i but In this version 4 small squares of the painting canvas have been retained in their original position as per the pre-manufactured stretcher. They sit at the boundaries of the ex-painting surface as the basic elemental structure of a specific colour process/science. Representing the 4 colour process they hint at the vast possibilities open to one combining these coulours on a blank piece of paper/canvas. In commercial printing calibration and production methods the small squares of each colour appear 'out of bounds' to enable the producer to check and maintain colour consistency.
